SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Fire Rescue Division (SFD) is receiving a $111 thousand grant from the State of Ohio, according to a spokesperson with the City of Springfield. >>Dayton Fire Department to host ceremony for new EMT graduates at SinclairAccording to Governor DeWine's office, SFD will receive a $111,559 grant as a part of a $9.9 million package to support wellness and staffing needs of Ohio's first responders, the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7. The grant will be used for on-site wellness checks, peer support and fitness training, the release said.
